The CLI attempts to prevent the user from inputting non-ephemeral variables during apply which don't match the stored plan values. Since the user can't avoid variables parsed from auto-loaded files, we have to ignore those values.	1 year ago

James Bardin	8e099c99df	remove old warnings about changes from refresh ... These logs were added to help diagnose issues with providers transitioning to post-0.12 terraform. Now that all providers have been using the new protocol for considerable time, we no longer see questions about behavior that the logs help explain. Since legitimate external updates also show up in these warnings, the logs are only extra noise or at least redundant with the actual legacy SDK warnings.	1 year ago

The templatefile function actually calls the full renderer within the TypeFunc to determine what the resulting might be, but that also requires unmarking the top-level of the vars map to strip marks even though the value is unused.	1 year ago

Non-string input variables taken from the environment initially need to be parsed and stored as string, since there is no type associated type information.
