James Bardin	641b820baa	terraform_data sensitive and write-only tools ... Add a new object to the terraform_data resource to handle sensitive and write-only attributes. The new `store` object has input and output values, which work much like the top-level input and output. The difference is that the `store.input` is truly "write only" and can also accept ephemeral values. Additional arguments for the `store` object are: - `version`, allows the user to determine exactly when the input value will be replaced in `store.output`. - `sensitive`, conditionally directs the stored value between `output` or `sensitive_output`. - `replace` signals that any change to either output should trigger replacement of the entire resource.	1 month ago

We can't use write-only within sets, because there is no way to assign an ephemeral value to an individual attribute within a set, without making the entire set ephemeral. This will be enforced by the provider framework as well to help prevent unusable schemas for reaching Terraform.	1 year ago
Martin Atkins	1358245617	dependencies: Remove all non-legacy uses of hashicorp/go-multierror ... This functionality is now provided by the "errors" package in the standard library, so the HashiCorp-specific library is obsolete. This also removed our one direct use of github.com/pkg/errors, which we were using in a way that was totally redundant with the stdlib package errors. However, it lives on as an indirect dependency through the Consul backend's dependency on the Consul SDK, which uses that library.	2 years ago

James Bardin	43100fbe39	handle nested types in StaticValidateTraversal ... The StaticValidateTraversal code was not taking into account nested structural types. Rather than create more special cases for checking Type vs NestedType, we move the ImpliedType method up to the Attribute to ensure both are used to generate the final type spec.	4 years ago

This is part of a general effort to move all of Terraform's non-library package surface under internal in order to reinforce that these are for internal use within Terraform only. If you were previously importing packages under this prefix into an external codebase, you could pin to an earlier release tag as an interim solution until you've make a plan to achieve the same functionality some other way.	5 years ago
