# `split` Function

`split` produces a list by dividing a given string at all occurrences of a
given separator.

```hcl
split(separator, string)
```

## Examples

```shell-session
> split(",", "foo,bar,baz")
[
  "foo",
  "bar",
  "baz",
]
> split(",", "foo")
[
  "foo",
]
> split(",", "")
[
  "",
]
```
