Avoids allocating/g_free temporary strings when DOM text
exists. Replaces dom_tree_to_text() with dom_node_to_text() fast-path
for Account, Transaction, and Split string setters.
Return a gnc_numeric instead of allocations that every caller has to free.
This makes it easier to fix the use after free in the unit test function
equals_node_val_vs_split_internal() where the expression in the return
statement wants to use the allocated gnc_numeric.

Modify the DEBUG and PINFO macros to return unless qof_log_check is
true. Replace almost all direct calls to g_debug and g_message with
DEBUG and PINFO respectively.
Track the highest logging level sent to qof_log_set_level to provide a
short-circuit return in qof_log_check. Remove setting GNC_MOD_TESTS to
QOF_LOG_DEBUG so that the short-circuit threshold isn't defeated by
always being DEBUG.
Net result: 33% improvement in xml load times.
Move all of the #include <glib> to before the extern "C" blocks
so that the include guards will protect against headers inside
the extern "C" block also including glib.h.
Instead of reporting an error and declining to load the file (XML)
or failing to enter a value (SQL) when a bad date is found in the
database, use a 0 time stamp (1970-01-01 00:00:00 UTC). Adds a warning
in SQL backends; there was one already in XML.
This will avoid a ninja-build from picking up a config.h generated by the autotools build
(in the root build directory). Picking up the wrong config.h may lead to all kinds of
subtle issues if the autotools run was done with different options than the cmake run.
It is split into
- /libgnucash (for the non-gui bits)
- /gnucash (for the gui)
- /common (misc source files used by both)
- /bindings (currently only holds python bindings)
This is the first step in restructuring the code. It will need much
more fine tuning later on.
