John Ralls	e17ba3cc00	Fix UAF in xaccFreeSplit. xaccSplitComputeCapGains creates gains_split pointers in both the Cap Gains Split and its Income split to the original split, but the original's gains_split pointer can point to only one of them, the Cap Gains split. When the original split is freed both the Cap Gains split's and its Income split need their gains_split pointers NULLed or when it's the Income split's turn to be freed it will try to deref the dangling pointer.	3 years ago

Richard Cohen	66c5e398ae	Change g_assert() -> g_assert_true() in tests g_assert() can be compiled out, so should not be used for tests g_assert_true was removed to fis https://bugs.gnucash.org/show_bug.cgi?id=792008 because g_assert_true was introduced in glib-2.38 and at the time GnuCash required only glib-2.26. GnuCash has required glib >= 2.40 since `8acbc41c6` so g_assert_true can be restored.	3 years ago

John Ralls	81c5ac6689	Remove the incomplete book-currency code. Not everything from the 6 Book-Currency commits is removed: Switching the Num and split-action fields and restricting edits of transactions older than n days were included and those changes are left in place. Some other partly-implemented features were also part of these commits and were removed: Options for setting a default capital gains account and currency, completion of the LIFO cap-gains policy, and creation of a list of cap-gains policies. If any of these are to be revived they should each be done in a separate feature branch and submitted via Github pull request for a code review before merging; a design discussion on gnucash-devel before restarting work is also advisable.	5 years ago

Geert Janssens	1238b9d8cd	Prevent gcc from searching config.h in the current directory This will avoid a ninja-build from picking up a config.h generated by the autotools build (in the root build directory). Picking up the wrong config.h may lead to all kinds of subtle issues if the autotools run was done with different options than the cmake run.	9 years ago
